Cornish Mining Conference

Global Mine Design is lending our support to the third Cornish Mining Conference, being held at the majestic Falmouth Hotel on Thursday 29th September. Well done to Cornish Lithium and ABMEC on facilitating and organising this event that really highlights how the UK can focus on sustainable mining practices that very much has a place in the 21st Century.
The time is now for the UK to lead the way in responsible, domestic mineral production that will provide technology metals and will set the standard for environmental governance of the entire supply chain – including disposal and recycling. It is important that we acknowledge mining is part of the UK’s future just as much as it was a part of our past. But we must also continue to hold all mining companies accountable for their treatment and stewardship of the environment under their control.
